Our government is has the target of hosting a million
tourist during the Nepal Tourism Year 2011, but this may turn into a cheap joke
it attention of concerned authority is not drawn regarding the various threats
to it. I felt pity when I saw two foreigners being harassed by street children near
Thamel. Street children were asking for money and obstructing the movement of
foreigners. Such hindrance should be taken note of and necessary action for
promotion of tourism industry. NTY 2011 can’t be promoted only by speeches and
seminars in star hotels.
